Mocha (the dark Jenny) is quite vocal and puts up a fuss at dinnertime. Same for gelding Nestle (brown). Here, they are putting up a fuss and Callie saunters over to Mocha to comfort her and calm her down a bit. Once she gets Mocha to stop crying she heads over to me – representing the others I guess – to ask more politely to be fed.
The more I observe these beautiful animals, the more I learn about their capacity for empathy and intelligence. They really are amazing!
